When mounted above or below an aircraft, the antenna produces an omnidirectional, vertical polarized signal with maximum gain 20° - 30° above the horizon. The reinforced radome allows speeds in excess of mach 2.0. The frequency range will extend from 1.5 to 2.0 GHz at a 2.5:1 VSWR maximum.
